::Father Jose Burgos (one of the GOMBURZA martyrs) lived in this place for 7 years. - National Historical Institute, 1984 In my translation (English): Father Burgos lived in this place from 1865 to 1872 and worked for the church reformation under the Spanish regime. He became a parish priest of the Parroquia del Sagrario, church tax collector, and temporary Canónigo Magistral (preacher) of the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros. Cardinal Gonzales, a Spaniard, spoke of him: "The Philippines will probably need hundreds of years to have a child as wise as Fr. Jose A. Burgos." Along with two other priests, Father Mariano Gomez and Jacinto Zamora, he died as a martyr in Luneta on February 17, 1872.

::Love the place. Interior looks old but in a good way. It harmonizes the old buildings around Intramuros.
